This extraordinary percussion ensemble around Francesco D’Auria and Baby Sommer has been around for 35 years: The magical world of percussion, the ongoing search for new sounds from the instruments, the somnambulistic connection between the musicians – all this makes Percussion Staff so unique. The song of the elements of drum skins, wood, metal, water is joined by the melodic sound of marimba and vibraphone, trumpet and flugelhorn, whistle and shell and human voice, combine to form music that smells of the sea and olives, in which one can Hear the buzzing of the crickets.
